About Sketch Rabbit

I’m a writer, storyteller, and visual creator based in Canada.
Writing has always been the centre of what I do.

Over the years, I’ve written nearly 20 books — children’s stories, educational projects, and nonfiction — all rooted in curiosity, learning, and a deep respect for imagination. I’ve also worked in photography and video, often using images and film the same way I use words: to help people see, understand, and feel something real.

Sketch Rabbit exists because creativity is one of the most natural ways humans learn — at any age.

This is a place for stories, art, and ideas inspired by Canada: its wildlife, its history, its landscapes, and the people who’ve shaped it. Some of the work here is written for children, some for adults, and much of it sits comfortably in between. The goal isn’t to talk down or dress learning up — it’s to make it engaging, thoughtful, and accessible.

I believe creativity isn’t a phase we grow out of. It’s a skill we grow into.

You won’t find hype here. You won’t find tricks or trends. You’ll find clear writing, honest storytelling, and creative work meant to spark curiosity and invite exploration.

Sketch Rabbit is about slowing down, paying attention, and learning through imagination — whether you’re eight years old or eighty.

That’s the work. That’s the direction.
